why should the tamils continue to exist

they do business as they have done for ages, but now they own lands that are worth crores, they drive around in the latest automobiles designed in america, japan and germany. they live an air conditioned existence. they are industrialists.

they have allowed a brahmin woman to rewrite their history.

as these tamils have started loving their life, they are afraid that things might not continue in the same vein throughout.

so, what they do is, they go and surrender to the brahmins. these brahmins tell them everything, when to do what, how to do what, which temple to go to negate some bad fate, what to name their children, everything.

in the process, anyone who tells that in their past, they lived, worked, earned, with the principles of dignity, honour, fairplay, and morality, is seen as a fool, who does not know the joys of the good life.

do such a people, who have mortgaged themselves to greed, who are afraid of their own people, as they strive for wealth, need to exist at all.

the tamils have no standards, no morals, no set of beliefs, no ways of life.

they have no history, no heritage, no culture, no past.

all they have is the brahmin, ashtami, navami, and the brahmin to chant something.

these tamils do not know what the brahmin utters at their marriages, house and office inaugurations. but they need the brahmin anyway.

just under a 100 years ago, the brahmins had declared that tamil should not be learnt and that tamil should not be sung.

after their language was retrieved and after their honour was restored, these tamils made some progress.

today, these tamils mock those who acted to retrieve their language and culture, and are flocking to the brahmin.

these tamils of today are proud that they are grasping all the religious utterings and the sheer crap that the brahmins fashioned and continue to fashion.

they ridicule those who point them to their glorious culture.

they represent the greatest height of shamelessness achieved by any set of human beings.

any tamil who celebrates april 13 as tamil new year does not deserve to continue to live. if it is a sizeable number, then the state needs to be wrecked and destroyed by the force of nature.

do such a people need to exist, they have no idea that they are turning inhuman, that they are moving away from humanity into animals, animals that are full of fear and greed.

such an animal existence is what has come upon them, as they forget that they have brains, which can be used rationally to make decisions.

such an animal existence needs a brahmin to chant some mantras, no matter whatever those mantras mean.

the tamils of 2012 represent failed human beings. they have no reason to be existent.

deep-rooted corruption

a way of life that was one with the earth, water, fire, wind, and ether has been corrupted with the pretension, the greed, the avarice, and the thoroughly pedestrian religion and the language of the vedas. Why was this disease allowed to take root, by man or by nature? It is the natural corollary of the descent into attachment to wealth, which was capitalised upon by a set that wanted to sift in without the normal and due natural toil. The situation is so rotten that this set of peddlers of mantras and rituals are now playing out the folly of going all out to stamp the truth out. This final folly of the unnatural and inhuman torment that wrecks and corrupts the human urge to be one with nature is playing out. Let us wait and watch this act while determining what we need to do. We have done a lot on our part in the last century through the leadership of innumerable wise ones. Now, there seems to be no dearth of wise ones who can step into leadership positions. The way forward and the aspiration and the spirit of the earth that mixed with our ancestors must ensure the assembly of elders to come into being.

As we heard the anthems in the Oriya and the Bengali languages play before the match today, we realise the situation in Eelam has gone to this extent due to the absence of the assembly of elders. Our people in Eelam were led into not realizing our own retrieval voyage, and were prone to blaming us for the tragedy in Eelam. Soon, we will have our counsel of elders, which will then begin to clear the deep-rooted corruption here and the trauma of Eelam.

At this juncture, a news channel Headlines Today and other similar channels talk about opinion polls and issues linked to sinhala, and even now, even today, continue to talk about the 176,000 crore 2g scam.

a undeserving crowd and a motivated crowd, it is probably one crowd with the two attributes, tries its best to cloud the horizons of the people.

INC

if this party is a real organisation, then it must contest elections on its own, and create leaders who are able to lead people by inspiring them. it currently has evks elangovan who does not know what hard work is. he thinks talking big is the basic duty of a politician. if this party needs a rahul gandhi to go around, and inspiring its cadre, then it is obvious that this party does not have leaders at the ground level. some guy called yuvaraj made a journey, a yatra, but who is he? that is the INC in TamilNadu. contesting 48 in 2006 was the best it could get by sitting on the shoulders of the DMK.  if there is any dignity in this party, it will settle for 48, otherwise, it should try and create leaders, who are as far removed as possible from the likes of evks elangovan.

why did they not learn simplicity and humility and gratitude

http://www.tamilhindu.com/2010/04/tamilnadu-state-emblem-change-some-thoughts/

one person called rama talks about timeless dharmic culture.

also, rama tells,"The Tamilsl have lost all sense of shame. They are at the bottom of moral degradation and degeneration that they will sell their mothers for money. How else you can explain the continious support this amoral, corrupt DMK enjoy from this crowd."

i hope that this person rama does not live in Tamilnadu, as that would be very bad for rama, revealing his ingratitude for the land that cradles him.

on the other hand, if he lives here, it is a lesson for all the marathi manoos who hounded someone because he said something about Shivaji and who go out and hit fellow humans and people from neighbouring areas. Though it is wrong for anyone to talk like this rama does, the answer is to consistently reply and make clear that the talker is not qualified to talk.

here in Tamilnadu, we have all the poisonous talk of the brahmins, who are fearful that no one is buying their religion anymore. no one is targeting them or their religion or their way of life. all that the people are telling is enough is enough. we allowed the least-qualified and the least-edifying brahmins to peddle their least-uplifting wares to us, in our spirit of overwhelming simplicity. NOW,  when this least-grateful and least-related-to-human-striving crowd gets paranoid and vicious, it is placing itself up for all to see.

some of the writers of this website might be living today in cosmopolitan anonymity of bangalore, mumbai , delhi. some of them are in even more cosmopolitan obscurity of the united states.

they will have to keep moving and roaming.

one day, they will realise that they lived in peace in near-heaven in Tamilnadu, but, had to move out, not pushed out, but moved out, because they could not bring themselves to live like the rest of the inhabitants, who place wisdom, honour and discipline at the top of the guiding values. the rest of the people did not need a monkey-god, nor did they need a chanting of mantras, nor did they need lies and fantasy. they did not need to believe themselves to be special and divinely ordained. that is totally alien to their simplicity.their senses and mind told them, tells them and will tell them that truth only will triumph.

who are the brahmins, why do they oppose the DMK

the brahmins tell everyone about the dangers posed by the christian and islamic ideologies and missionaries. they point out the flaws and the discrepancies of these two religions very eagerly and sincerely.

but, when someone turns the spotlight onto them, the brahmins get all convulsive and over-heated and over-agitated, much more than ever by any christian or muslim fanatic.
of course, not every brahmin is prone to such a discomfort when under the spotlight. just like not every christian and not every muslim is a foolish fanatic, not every brahmin is a foolish fanatic. but those brahmins who are foolish fanatics, do their community the worst kind of damage, much more than a christian or a muslim fanatic does to their communities.

that is because the brahmin fanatic is not attempting, unlike the chrisitan and the muslim fanatic, to propagate his cause.
the brahmin fanatic believes that he is only trying to retrieve the situation, that is, he is only trying to save/prevent everyone who was already under the brahmin fold, from being influenced by the chrisitan and islamic religions.

the brahmin fanatic does not realise that he is also one among the peddlers, to the tamil people, of a method, of a suposedly divinely ordained way of life. the tamil people had given the brahmin's method some ocnsideration and some leeway in the past. especially, some sections of the landed and the rich were eager to adopt the mumbo jumbo of the brahmin, as it gave them a required elevation from the toilers and the workers.

but, the brahmin fanatic wants to believe that he is actually working for the cause of all, not for his community, and attempts to believe that he talks on behalf of all.

this is travesty at its worst.

these brahmin fanatics, http://www.tamilhindu.com/

will realise someday that while they work away from the comforts of their well-paid jobs, and while they live in the comfort zone that Taminnadu is, this is what their actions are leading to.

http://www.hindu.com/2010/09/04/stories/2010090463891300.htm

these brahmin fanatics would like to see such action in Tamilnadu too. the sober among the brahmins, who could be a majority, have realised that their religion would do well to be kept to theirselves, if it gives them the required help to live a god life. to arrogantly and foolishly believe that their religion is the best and has divine sanction, reduces the brahmins to the fanaticism among certain chrisitans and muslims, and will mark them out as dangerous to the tamils, in spite of having lived here for as long as they have done.

the brahmins will be saved from ignominy if they shed the company of the likes of vaidyanatha iyer, subramanian swamy, cho ramaswamy, jayalalithaa etc.

in the secular land of Tamilnadu, everyone will be respected and will thrive, this is the land of human achievement and human striving, not the land of divine ordination. those that try to bring in a divine ordainment will be slowly identified by human intelligence, as having not lived up to the level of human simplicity, and will only find themselves to be fishes out of water. then, they will start their search again, roaming and wandering, to nowhere. maybe, it will be good for them. as simplicity and hard work do not seem to fulfill their restless souls.

while here, we call the whole world as ours and all the people of the world as one and the same, the brahmins tried to exclucivize and inclucivize. even that grave act of self-centredness is realises as being one of self-sustainment and is not portrayed as a crime, even though thousands have suffered. in spite of this magnanimity of the secular land of Tamilnadu, if some continue with their missionary zeal of spreading trash, even though we are still able to call them as foolish kid-like zealots, there will be a limit, even to the greatness of nature.

afghanistan

as the london conference offered a chance to the taliban to seek a way out,the west seems to be most reasonable and the taliban will come out as the most intransigent.
every country and society will have at its core , a people who do not compromise and who will never bow before any outside force.
i passed by a statue of dheeran chinnamalai in Guindy and saw the story of his life inscribed around the statue.
an uncompromising warrior who had no intention of accepting the offer of dialogue from  rulers who were from outside the area.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dheeran_Chinnamalai

the taliban can also be said to be in this category except that they have become identified by their religion and their zeal to implement it in some kind of a strict sense.
their rule over their country was abruptly ended because they gave refuge to some people on the basis of a shared religion.
if they just insist on the ouster of the outsider and do not make it as a matter of religion ,they will make great progress.
as the americans and the british gear up to launch an offensive, there might be many who are going to fight to the finish.
islam also can be said to imprison the palestinian people.
if they keep their religion aside, and use it to give them purpose and discipline, and just talk about the legal angle, the matter will be resolved quite easily.
making it out as some christian versus muslim thing is just going to make a good talking point.

if a dheeran chinnamalai can fight against the outsider and a bhagat singh can fight against the outsider, why cannot a velupillai prabakaran fight against the outsider.
our prime minister Rajiv Gandhi was led into attempting to resolve the issue without also probably realising that somethings are beyond settlement.
Rajiv Gandhi had achieved success in punjab and mizoram because of his spirit and his personality.
the same spirit drew him into the island of ceylon where the most saddest event of a prime minister of a visiting country being attacked while reviewing a guard of honour, took place.
the congress leaders of tamilnadu will need to recollect that incident and realise that a tragedy of a young prime minister getting embroiled in a situation of deep polarisation cannot be used to make a mockery of a nation and its suffering people.

the taliban leadership as well as the thackerays of mumbai are examples of politics without serious introspection and dedication.the failure of rising up to the occasion and utilising the opportunities is being shielded by a refuge into the most basic type of extremism.these politicians do not have the spirit to believe in their ability to achieve their goals on the strength of their convictions.they think that they are warriors for allah and shiva.allah and shiva are ultimately the one and the same as is also the sivan of south india and these politicians might also know this fact..if it is political dominance that these groups aspire for, they have to try to achieve it without using shiva or allah as an alibi.
some purpose might have been served at some time by such political acts but to believe that one is therefore indispensable and that one has the right to be boorish forever is pointless.one has to work ceaselessly to gain a standing and to achieve a cherished goal.
the tamil people of tamilnadu and eelam have been lucky to gain leaders who have possessed the passion and the purpose along with the calibre.

why did the british need to get their hands on the reins of power if all they wanted to do was trade.trade had always been going on and there would not have been any out of the blue breach of contracts.if there is a product or a commodity then it will surely be traded.why did capitalism need the obsession to conquer every trade and every territory.finally, losing at home itself.and creating dictators and disrupting established systems all oer the world.the americans will probably still be dreaming of having their armies in every country of the world.iran, india and china stand in the way.if iran is taken out, india and china can be made to cancel each other out.leaving russia which will not probably be as strong without putin.
capitalism is great if it has moderations and if it does not have the arrogance to believe that it is the best.
the right mix,as always,is seen in Tamilnadu.

Eelam

how long are we supposed to suppress the raw emotions that surface everytime we see and hear about the happenings in sri lanka.
do we necessarily need to give the sri lankan state enough rope,at the cost of the mental trauma of millions of people.
there was no one who could articulate the simple case for tamil eelam, even if they might have been confronted by the terror of the ltte.
the sri lankan state has been allowed to go on for too long.there is no chance for even imagining a scenario where people are housed in camps and denied access.
why have we allowed it to happen is the question that confronts us.
part of the answer is because we are a multi party democracy, where the opposition was not prepared to give up its ambitions for a life saving cause, where the ruling party could not give up its long fought struggle, for the tamil society here, and allow itself to be replaced by a motley bunch of political parties, headed by one party, the aiadmk which consistently acts and seeks to destroy the hard fought stability and progress.
it is good that all those who accompanied jayalalithaa have quit.
all of them have their intact constituencies which will atleast now allow them to seek the company and leadership of kalaignar, atleast for this case.
each cannot be justified in mobilising and consolidating their constituency using the sufferings of the tamils in sri lanka.
those who soldier on must remove any extremist opinions that might have been uttered, against the congress and its leaders.
the historical scenario was such that the sri lankan state received a chance to gain the upper hand.the historical need was to possess the healing touch.
thirumavalavan needs to know that he is mainstream in this fight, maybe not right now.
there is a simple need for all the parties to unite and present the case for tamil eelam.
there has been enough of the build up,in the presentation of the history to the people.
if the war had been won, there was no need to deny access to the people.
that is the last straw.
it is unacceptable and unimaginable, even and though it was needed, the chance to view their response.
the war on terror gave the sri lankans enough room, and it turns out now, enough rope also.
a chance for reconciliation and a genuine reformation, politically and physically, was not grasped by the sri lankan state,as it was celebrating victory.

pricol

what happened in coimbatore might have primarily resulted out of the two sides not understanding the situation and the problems facing the other.
the distance between the employers and the employees seems to be growing.
various gaps are emerging between various sections of society.

LTTE PROPAGANDISTS?

http://www.dailystar.com.lb/article.asp?edition_id=10&categ_id=2&article_id=105821

it is an injustice that access to the camps that are housing 300,000 people is denied to the outside world.
is it not a simple question that can be raised immediately?
have the politicians of tamil nadu given up or are they waiting for the lankans to do it as they want with the least interference, till when the cudgels can be picked up anew.
the project went well, for the indian government and the tigers were forced to rest their guns.
how many people lost their lives,in this project, and has the price have to be paid now by the civilians, after also paying the price in the last months of the war.
GO FOR THEM,AT ANY COST,WHATEVER was the method adopted by the lankans.
and the news that these lankans have offered expertise to others must be divine music for the backers of the lankan method.our project has gained momentum and has developed wings now!
who exactly are the propagandists?

tamizhar

as i was watching neeya naana on vijay tv,there was a hint of a taunt for the people arguing for intercaste marriages from the other side, the taunt was that when these people wanted to marry off their children, they would nt be able to arrange marriages for their children from either side of the family.
this necessitates the creation of a caste called tamizhar, those people having gone for intercaste marriages, either love or arranged, should be provided the option of changing their caste into tamizhar.this caste should get some benefits from the government on the basis of economic conditions,in the reservation scheme.other benefits might be considered and introduced.
in the west, people when talking about their ethnicity talk about one side of the family being french, spanish etc and the other being english, italian etc.the technological advances would permit the people to record every part of the tree.

the so called hinduism actually belongs in the minds of one category of people who tried to enforce their thinking as being common and controlling everyone,in a typically human exercise to achieve supremacy.
each group of people fashioned their own deities,a male form and a female form and have been continuing their religions over the ages.
these clans and their gods were a part of the life of the people, there was no supreme controlling authority which held sway over all the clans;if there had been one, islam and christianity would have easily suppressed and eliminated the various forms of worship that prevailed all over the indian subcontinent.somewhere during the last millennium,an element of hierarchy with a hint of special descent was introduced into the people, this was a result of increased migrations.
there would not be any problem in people calling themselves tamizhar, which they are and have been forever.
each profession which was pursued was contributing to the overall good.

kandasamy

i was wrong about indralogathil naa alagappan,
this time also, ive got a few wagers that kanthasamy will be a big one,
cheran was talking on tv about the penchant to get out with smses about some movie not being worth anything.
i ve listened to a lot of people having no doubts that kanthasamy will sink.
that might be due to a profound belief that hollywood and bollywood are the cool things or could be a silent way of trying to downplay.
the music of the movie seems to be monotonous but susi ganeshan made a great movie, thiruttu payale, which makes me sure that kanthasamy will be big and ultimate.

centre

according to ndtv, the people of orissa have opted for the congress at the centre and the bjd for the state.
in maharashtra,in spite of an unsatisfactory record of the state government, the people have again opted for the congress at the centre, according to the numbers of ndtv.
why, then ,would the people of tamilnadu go for jayalalithaa?
it has got to be a sweep for the dpa in tamil nadu.
could the people of the southern districts have forgotten her stand on the sethu samudram canal?
if they have not forgotten, vaiko too might not stand a chance in virudhunagar.
the pmk,if it were to go by its stand on the eelam issue, should not have contested the elections.
the poll day attempts to rouse raw passions by showing war footage from eelam was the last desperate act to play out the issue and profit.
have the people been wise enough to see through these cheap stunts,of attaining power and position through the sufferings of others.

Congress sweep in the South

Most of the pollsters might have got it wrong in Tamilnadu and Karnataka.
In Tamilnadu, it is tough to think about anyone who might want to vote for the AIADMK led front.
The people of Karnataka would also be aware of the need to have MPs who go on to be a part of the cabinet.

The level of information penetration which has been ongoing since 1984 is at a stage where the people realise that Dr Manmohan Singh is the only choice for Prime Minister for the country to move forward. Money power might win the day for the BJP in some backward areas.

In Tamilnadu the people are politically aware and would have followed the events in the Supreme court enacted by Subramanian Swamy. There are not many persons in Tamilnadu who can or might ever be feeling a sense of not having a say in the politics of the day.
Who ever will go against stability and go for empowering Jayalalithaa on the national stage. There might be a few who would imagine that the AIADMK and the INC would get together. Everything points to a 40-0 sweep for the DPA in Tamilnadu.

In Andhra and Kerala, the congress is all set to sweep the parliamentary polls.

The South, as always, is going to contribute to the bulk of the congress seats.

The INC might get upto 110 seats in the south alone.

yenge brahmanan

cho ramasamy is peddling manusmriti without a hint of shame on jaya tv.
subramanian swamy is at the heart of the clashes between the lawyers and the police.
there was a lot of comment about a fringe element within the lawyer community.
what all commentators have to realise is that no tamil is feeling good that the ltte has lost territory.
there is anguish in everyones minds as there was anguish when rajiv gandhi was assasinated.

the heart of the issue is that after all,the ltte could be condemned for its acts, but,it is not now.
the people are demonstrating that they know when to act and how to act.
the real loony fringe s core consists of subramanian swamy and cho ramasamy.
this is the fringe that acts provocatively and twists the democratic acts of the people in choosing and changing governments to suit its twisted agenda.
subramanian swamy is an insult to human decency and courtesy.
the fringe element is acting as if it is a part of the wise counsel.
his actions are a black chapter in the history of politics in the state of tamilnadu.
instead of bringing more disrepute to their community, swamy and ramaswamy have to realise that the golden era of the brahmanans is over,no one is preventing the practice of their religion except themselves,by their desperate acts of becoming champions of a lost cause and getting hatred into peoples minds.
jayalalithaa is yet not getting bracketed within this fringe element as she can explain away her actions as being political in nature.
but she has a lot of explaining to do,and a lot of learning about how to practice democracy.
she would do herself a favour by reading the autobiography of kalaignar.

tamilnadu agitations for eelam

at present, the agitationists in tamilnadu have damaged the struggle at the very beginning by getting entangled in politics, which is the worst possible thing, when confronted by the magnitude of the tragedy and the crisis.
the ltte is banned in india and that is that.there is no point in imagining that the state govt did not do enough.
if the state govt had resigned, the upa govt would have fallen with elections earlier than april may, possibly.
that would have caused all sorts of coalition pandemonium, with the aiadmk having no compunction in allying with the congress,as it has adopted a strident anti tigers approach, like the congress.
that would be a like minded alliance, with regard to the sri lankan crisis.
an aiadmk govt represents all that is distasteful in modern democracy, like the thoughts and acts of subramanian swamy, cho ramasamy.
the dravidian movements progress would have again ground to a halt.
a dmk govt that is uncomfortable with strident support of the tigers would have been probably replaced by an aiadmk govt which is stridently opposed to the ltte,or there would be a hung assembly.
even if the dmk had romped back to power, the effort would have been meaningless.
the dpa govt resigning would have had no impact whatsoever on the sri lankan govt.

the agitationists have to think about influencing the european japanese and the american govts towards the realisation, that the ltte, with all its sins,is seen by the people of tamilnadu as representing the tamils of sri lanka.
the ltte, would also have probably learnt a lot, from the present scenario,of not receiving unqualified support in its hour of need.
the agitations have to be directed towards activism at the embassies of the donor countries demanding a revokal of the ban on the ltte.
in hindsight, such an agitation should have been done,as soon as the ban was announced.

seemaan

he s decided to go the whole hog and talk the issues out.

ive got no idea what he spoke in erode but it can be along the lines of the ipkf s role in sri lanka.

rajiv gandhi was an exceptional leader who energised the nation with his enthusiasm and ideas,a scintillating personality of the last century.

he broke the old order and its conservatism just like indira gandhi did in 1969.

the old order got back by way of vishwanath pratap singh, another exceptional leader.

the tragedy of india is that these two great men fell out with each other, both were men of destiny, but one was taken to the top in extreme and sudden circumstances.

we would have been somewhere else if they had continued to work together.

rajiv gandhi lost his life as he took up the post of prime minister of a country of a billion people.

the risks are tremendous and every situation is unprecedented and unique.

decisions need to be taken, taking the view of the establishment.

decisions are wrong in hindsight.

there is no reason why rajiv gandhis name should be dragged into the present situation in sri lanka.

the people of tamil nadu are not dishonouring rajiv gandhi if they are supporting the ltte in the vicious war being waged in sri lanka.

the congress has the political compulsion to be against the ltte.

there are ways to do it in a way that is dignified and reaches out well.

if there are groups out there who are giving a divisive tilt to the present scenario by vilifying the memory of rajiv gandhi, they need proper counselling by the political leadership of all parties.

people like l ganesan, who spoke in a channel about simon alias seemaan are utilising things for their petty ends.

the congress need not get excited against a film director who probably will have a sensibility, going by the movies he has made.

making him an easy target for the sake of publicity is lowering the prestige of a national party.

things need to be talked about and if the ipkf was a mistake, seemaan has the freedom of expression to talk it out.

at the end of the day,i dont know what seeman spoke and this might just be a minor episode in the politics of tamilnadu.

tiruvannamalai

a value addition was in view during the karthigai deepam ceremony,a priest was taken out ,sitting with a deity, wearing an alien looking crown.
it looked like an anointment and was out of place and worse.
it could be a tradition but it certainly did not fit in with the ambience and the devotion.
it looked like a statement was being made.

from a general viewpoint, one of the commentators on podhigai tv sounded a defensive note that these are our traditions and they should not be questioned.

earlier, during the soora samhaaram in tiruchendur,a naamam was placed in a prominent position in the rituals.

some agendas are being peddled by groups and individuals who can also be seen espousing the bjp.
are these double agents or just people with insecurities regarding vaishnavisms footing.

laloo vs nitish

laloo and nitish had a take on each other as being a fused bulb,
there was a good nature about the way it was done, taking a dig at a rival.
this kind of banter is totally absent in the relations between the dmk and the aiadmk.
newcomers into politics like vijayakanth and the latecomers like jayalalithaa who want to straightaway go for the top job end up acting as if they are too good to be true.
this kind of behaviour ends up creating situations where normal democratic debates are absent and all the people get to witness are innuendoes from artificial and lofty pedestals.
vijayakanth at the moment is going through a loss of words after the law college violence whereas dayanidhi maran is repeating the mistakes that got him into a situation where his political career was abruptly ended.

karisalkulam

vijay tv had a programme about a village in tirunelveli district which is now deserted except for one old couple.

the village became derelict after a love story between two communities ended in a murder and violence.

the resultant situation witnessed both the sides leaving behind their village as they could not co exist anymore.

if it were not for the doped scribblings of manu,a dialogue would have allowed a compromise.

the ancient dravidian civilisation which had been trading with other civilisations around the world would have evolved over centuries on the basis of dialogue and consensus.

that the traditions of dialogue and common sense are not able to deal with the poison of manu should immediately make it obvious to every tamil and every dravidian that burning the writings of manu is the only solution to this tragic and pathetic situation.
the vaishnavites would do a world of good if they got together and announced that manu s writings are nothing but the fantastic dreams he dreamt after a night of excessive drinking.

opposition party

jayalalithaa is a never say die politician.she keeps at her job relentlessly, almost fanatically.
jaya tv was showing news about a dam being built by karnataka in a river which flows from karnataka into krishnagiri .the "minority" government has got to be ever alert ,a small slip and amma will extract her due.the conduct of the aiadmk in the assembly is not as praiseworthy.it resembles the pathetic display by the BJP in parliament, utterly hopeless and pathetic.
i was at a DMK meeting yesterday where jj was attacked for her comments about the function for kalaignar s 50 th year in the satta sabai.
jayalalithaa has her faults but parties sitting in the opposition anywhere in the country can surely take some lessons from her energetic role in the opposition.a healthy opposition is the greatest thing in a democracy.a party which constantly walks out of proceedings is a waste of time.
