et tu vasan

anybody who talks about the dravidian parties, about the DMK and the aiadmk in the same vein is destroying truth.

if dr ramadoss was doing it earlier, it seems gk vasan also has spoken something along those lines.

it is a severe attack on the dravidian movement, and all the ideals that it stands for, when the DMK  is compared with a party that was led by mg ramachandran and jayalalithaa.

such a comparison is an unpardonable trashing of history and truth. at the present moment, there might be the question of family dominance. But, that issue is relevant only when there is a deviation from the ideals of the dravidian movement.

It seems that ramadoss and vasan have arrived at the understanding that the ideal of tamil and dravidian culture and rationalism will not attract the people anymore.

if that is the understanding, it only means that we do not have leaders of the calibre of periyar, anna and and leaders who can measure up to kalaignar.

the leadership of that calibre is one that will win, from the power of knowledge, reasoning, and rationalism. the victory of that leadership comes not from decibel shattering oratory or from slandering and vilification, but comes from wisdom, simplicity and truth.

if our people are not to humiliate and degrade themselves further by a descent into the pit dug by brahminism, we need leaders who are wise and rational, and who do not enact attacks on human intelligence and potential, with comparisons of the DMK  and the aiadmk.

Tamilnadu elections

Once again, we approach an election. The few amongst us who have realised that urban anonymity, comfort, and good life come with a price, the price of disconnect with the world at large, go about making a big fuss in the media. These few think and feel that politicians are from other far-away nether world, that the politicians are nowhere near achieving the values and the loftiness of the city-folk with professional careers. These few are an utter distraction for us as we journey towards higher levels of achievement in our democracy. For these few, everything is not good, not proper, with no chance at all of being the best that we are achieving. For these few, everything is wrong, because they do not know the rest of the world. They do not understand the rest of the country around them and so they despise and get repulsed at the way that the world functions without any need to share in the brainpower of the career professionals. A character like mohandas pai whose industry does not pay taxes, and who has received huge parcels of land all over Karnataka and Tamilnadu, has chosen to pitch in now with his inputs of files getting misplaced on purpose. Such a character and others of its ilk cannot but look with revulsion the rest of the world living and achieving with no need to laud the achievements of the career professionals.

Many of such characters are newly formed in the last five or seven years, having joined the professional workforce, and having had the illluck to have no roots and connection with the world out there. Such characters who do not have any relation with the towns and the villages labour now under the burden that the politicians are not doing any thing good. These types do not know their politicians and cannot relate to them.

For the rest of us, the politician is one amongst us. We know who represents us and how their work is. we know who the candidate is, who the opposition candidate is, and we elect one amongst us. As we witness our people's movement, the DMK, spread economic prosperity all around us, spread education to every village, make the expenditures easy to bear, we know that we are on the way towards our grand purpose. We know that we are moving ahead towards rationalism, simplicity, and content. We know that we are leaving behind, superstition, false ambitions, and discontent behind. We know that the DMK  is the grand purpose.

dr manmohan singh

he has not spoken about sri lanka until now. absent his view, pranab mukherjee had acted beyond his potential and below his position, while talking once at the Chennai airport.

two days back also, pranab mukherjee acted beyond his potential and below his position, wile speaking about creating and resolving problems.

the members of the congress from tamilnadu never once spoke against the sri lankan government, but were always speaking in dersision against the backers of tamil eelam there. only P Chidambaram redeemed himself once when he spoke about his thambi pirapaharan. GK Vasan has maintained a diplomatic silence on the issue.

the rest of the members of the congress in Tamil Nadu, acted in a manner, that necessitiates them being cast into the dustbin of history.

where is the forum for discussion of the issues, is there a meeting of the upa constituents, to discuss the issues facing the country.

no. then why do you need the DMK to be a part of the government. the way to build a party is by working and not by jockeying.

the tamil nadu congress does not have any leader who works. none of them deserve to be a minister in any coalition. the deserving leaders are ministers at the centre.

INC

if this party is a real organisation, then it must contest elections on its own, and create leaders who are able to lead people by inspiring them. it currently has evks elangovan who does not know what hard work is. he thinks talking big is the basic duty of a politician. if this party needs a rahul gandhi to go around, and inspiring its cadre, then it is obvious that this party does not have leaders at the ground level. some guy called yuvaraj made a journey, a yatra, but who is he? that is the INC in TamilNadu. contesting 48 in 2006 was the best it could get by sitting on the shoulders of the DMK.  if there is any dignity in this party, it will settle for 48, otherwise, it should try and create leaders, who are as far removed as possible from the likes of evks elangovan.
