however it may appear to be insensitive and unwarranted, all that the fatwa actually reveals is that islam is having organisation as does christianity.both of these religions have totally enforceable tenets and are having a structure.
some sections of the so called hinduism have been attempting to pass off their religion and methods and practices as being common and belonging to the vast majority which does not have the slightest idea or understanding of these practices.there is a respect or a tendency to view with respect all practices that are spiritual.the same has been misunderstood and misrepresented as an adherence to these practices.over the centuries, some of these practices have become entrenched and deep rooted among the people and along with it the evils of the caste system and its myths have also made inroads into the people.while these practices and methods might have truth or deep meaning within them, they have been used to divide the people fundamentally.
buddhism and sikhism were formed to lead the people out of the thrall of such myths and religions.
the vedic religion might have been good for its core practitioners but it has been of no use for the vast population.
the ancient and continuous civilisation necessitated the evolution of laws which governed the people and resolved their problems.the people were simple enough to have used these laws to go about their lives and did not need any special divine sanctions or commandments to give weightage to them.the entire world was drawn to this ancient land and its uncomplicated ways.
everyone needed to come here.
the vedic culture happened to come here quite early and was the first entrant from outside.over three millennia,it has acquired a hold over the people that is not healthy.the people did not need any systematic religion, they just needed to go about their life and whatever was interesting was accepted.the people have never needed to acquire any religion and pontiff whose say was absolute and also who was indispensably linked to and controlling the rulers.
right from the vedic religions to the later entrants, there have been attempts to change the simple ways of the people into all of these systematic religions.
in north india, where the hold and effect of the vedic religion was severe, buddhism and sikhism attempted to break such shackles.
in south india, rationalism was attempted to be taken to the people as athe fastest and most effective way to break the vedic religion and its destruction of the culture.
the vedic religion is at odds with islam and christianity as it views these organised religions as a threat to its entrenchment.
the people have their own ways which is separate from any of these religions.
the people are organised in different regions in different ways.
saivism can be said to be the mainstay and the basis and the core of the thinking of the people.
vaishnavism is more urban and is deriving from the vedic religion.rama and krishna have become the tools to appeal to the common man to enroll into the vedic religion.
the vedic religion has become synonymous with the caste system and other ills in the so called hinduism.
without removing these basic flaws, indirect shortcuts have been used, rama hanuman etc,to get to gloss over the fundamental discrepancies in this religion.
getting agitated over the islamic clerics is useless.it should be used as a challenge to remove the failings and flaws and broadbase the vedic religion.pretending to be the majority and trying to make an entry into politics on the basis of hate propaganda will be the best ways to fool themselves.
the people will continue to be themselves,a millennia of islamic and christian control made no dent on their ways except those who might have been genuinely needing to escape the frustration of being locked by the vedic religion and its hold over the ruling class.when the rulers were from outside,it might have also been a revenge against the ruler who was too much under the thrall of the vedic religion.
the regular arguments that islamic countries do not give space to minorities has no meaning for us and our culture.the islamic countries needed their religion and are only acting according to it.
we did not need organised religion.as we were not buffetted between other peoples and other religions.we lived our way in harmony.
it can surely be envisioned that islam and christianity will always find ways to weed out minorities and their ways.
we have no such compunctions.
since the muslims and christians are viewed to be minorities in our land,we have to ensure that there is no discrimination or shortage of opportunities.

brotherhood
as men grow up,they witness some groups among them who wield and misuse power, who pretend to be a cut above the rest, who might act against anyone at any time.
there is a need to have a group for oneself where there is a safety and a security.
in islamic countries, islam provides the perfect brotherhood against the brash and haughty westerner, who always is involved in one or the other aggression and intrusion.
in the west, the church seems to have receded from fashion and islam might be the new in thing.
in india, there are various groups where one can seek membership, earlier,it was the communist unions and the socialist parties..now,it is the right wing religious organisations and the left wing extremist organisations.
the problem with the taliban is that they could have become an effective opposition party or even the ruling party in afghanistan if they had understood their original mission.they got mixed up with the al qaeda and having lost their country are now talking about pakistan and india next.
the naxalites originating point must have been the highhandedness of the landed classes or the corruption and inefficiency of the bureaucracy.having taken to arms, they might now be in a position to reconsider their situation and offer some form of a truce or a dialogue to the government.
the thing that allows a man to fight and die for a cause is the knowledge that his sacrifice would not be forgotten or would not become useless.
the taliban obviously can manage to bring up huge numbers as they have the glue of islam.
their recklessness is similar to the recklessness of the capitalists, who want to be on the move, always.newer markets, newer activities, ventures.for the taliban,it is newer enemies, newer causes and weapons.
the naxalites too have gained this expansionist mood and want to have more action and more publicity.
in such a situation, the first priority for government should be to instruct the armed forces to shed all types of highhandedness,to make them an exceptionally disciplined force, secure in the knowledge that their sacrifice will not go in vain.
we can witness various episodes in our lives, where some classes try to depict that they are superior, by the use of violence.they get together and deliver violence to unsuspecting or supposedly guilty others.
that is at the heart of all commotion in the world.
in india, and in the so called hinduism, there is no one person who can loudly announce to the rest of this group that all talk about superiority and inferiority is a joke.
yet,we have various personalities who talk in the name of hinduism.
the taliban are turning out to be stand out idiots, the lehmann brothers of 2009.
no moderation,no introspection,nothing.
just the need for action.
this group ends up giving a bad name to the genuine causes of hamas and hizbollah.
in the end,it is obvious that the accumulation of wealth makes it necessary to have discipline.
otherwise, the thinking that anything can be done triggers actions which result in various counter reactions.
if the west had had discipline,it would have initiated a dialogue with the soviets, instead of having a cold war.
if our richer classes had had discipline, there would not have been any class wars.
in all of this, where does one place the sections, who slowly introduced a thing called the caste system into the minds of the ruling and landed classes and sowed the seeds for a million mutinies.

leaders and lankans
two world leaders died of cancer today,
edward kennedy aged 77 and abdul aziz al hakim aged 59.
while ted kennedy had brain cancer,al-hakim had lung cancer.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8222160.stm
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/8222229.stm
cancer could be a way of nature for culling the population.
when leaders get it,it is emotional and sudden,as happened with anna.
sun news was showing that 20 lakh people were hospitalised in the united states for swine flu.
the west surely leads in all kinds of diseases, though tehelka had a coment about 800 people dying of tuberculosis daily in india.
the sad story of the sri lankans continued to break to the world.
http://www.tamilnet.com/art.html?catid=13&artid=30080
the hindu must have noticed that there are reports about outsiders, including opposition parliamentarians, being denied access to the camps housing civilians being screened.
a srilankan high commissioner said on bbcworld that the tamils are history,he actually meant that the tamil tigers are history, and corrected himself immediately.
the simple question was asked by the news presenter about whether if there had been transparency and access to the outside world, such questions might not have become the beginning of the unravelling.
an israeli minister, unashamedly, has spoken that their people cannot be suffocated,so,they will continue with the settlements.
such behaviour will be noticed in the future from the lankans.
as the news keeps coming out,the emotions start rising.
and then, the reactions will be termed as terrorism.
the only difference, which is the fundamental difference,is that the so called terrorism has supposedly been vanquished in ceylon.
now,the issue of eelam can be discussed and the nation of eelam can be born.

the stupid generation
the 60s were called the love generation,
the 00s could be called the stupid generation,
these kids have no idea about politics, but believe that they need to go out and demonstrate.
the so called advancement in peoples lives as a result of capitalism has led people into stupidity.
marriage is frowned upon and partying is an essential necessity,
once in a while,to overcome their guilt, they need to go out onto the streets and act out their purity.
this need can easily be manipulated.
lifes all about screaming and exclaiming loudly and excitedly.
there is a lot of talk about poverty and having to bring people out of it,
if this is what they have to be led into, who benefits is the brand and lifestyle peddlers, and the electronic media.
what any country needs is the delivery of government services without corruption, there is absolutely no need to be talking about growth and changing and bringing down governments.
what is actually happening is,for the electronic media,by the electronic media and of the electronic media.
the whole talk about privatising essential services will one day be talked about as the joke of the earth.
the electronic media can use one stupid guy and his statements to try to fan a revolution.
all in the name of furthering democracy, yet really for furthering more affluent salaries and lifestyles.
the advertising industry is an allied industry, the seemingly harsh statements of kamal hasans anbe sivam about the advertising industry are better understood in these times of recession.
hero hondas new ad for cd deluxe falls into the category of using this stupidity for self interest.
going by this article, the you tube videos and bloggers activism reveals a sorry state of affairs.

wealth
the increase in wealth could be a big curse as it removes man from reality as the material riches and comforts shield him from the inevitability of death and the fickleness of life.
The americans have become the fountain head of the materialistic society and are catering to the baser desires of man around the world.
becoming a wealthy nation might actually be a curse of god.
have we become too enamoured of the good times,to be able to look around and do the things which will result in a change in circumstances for everybody.
have we become sure of the fantasy that we are special and hence live and lead the special life.
have we been cursed.
the warriors of ancient times celebrated the honour of death in the battle field.
the battles of the twentieth century witnessed a descent from the rules of the battlefield and into genocide.
this allowed the victors to portray their way of life as civilised and the american century was born.
everything was done to continue the generation of wealth and the continuation of the wealthy lifestyle.
the americans could not even bring themselves to ratify the kyoto protocol.
the protocol required a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions upto 5 % over a period of two decades.
the americans could not bring themselves to even think of it and were the only country which did not ratify it.
now,they ve come around.
the accumulation of wealth makes man resort to all measures to hang on to it,instigating wars and crushing opposition, inventing religious sanction and a superiority arising out of religion.
it is not anything particularly wrong with the americans, any country, society, group or individual which has accumulated too much wealth would have probably done the same.the accumulation of wealth could be a beginning of troubles,of the mind,of the body.
christianity could not be said to have failed the americans,it could have not been equipped to deal with the abnormality of too much of the good times.
but,a religion which accentuates and focusses on the simplicity in contrast to ostentation would have been a better mooring.
life should be celebrated but too much of the celebration would result in people being too much in love with life.
the balance would be arrived at over centuries and millennia.
the simplicity of a long continuing civilisation would have been developed after long examinations of the human mind and its weaknesses.

game show
the line 'life is a game show 'comes in a prabhu deva song.
i dont know if that is a original line or taken from somewhere.
life on earth could be some great game devised by some other superior form of life to see how certain entities perform when possessing intelligence but not possessing the ability to use it fully.
there would be a lot of wincing when one evaluates one s performance after the game is over.
the plain idiocy of fighting over religion would be the most unfathomable act.
the characters leading these fights on earth would want to wish away all the stupidity.
the biggest joke would be on the ones that pretended to be superior in some respects.
looking at other things, the attachment to worldly materials and the fear of death would be the depths of foolishness.
we had begun to love life, the good life and we had developed great pride in our successes, believing that we were smarter than others.
the whole problem could be said to have begun when some group or individual used its weight to influence happenings and events.
that would have been the event that triggered the attachment to wordly things.
other groups and individuals would have realised the need to rally themselves.
looking at everything,it is clear that we are not in control of the intelligence that resides inside us.
we act at the spur of the moment and we are not in control of our reactions.
