madhya pradesh has a maximum of eight percent muslims,
if ninety percent of them were taken to be in the voting age,ie 90 % of eight being 7.2 percent,
and if ninety percentage of that population actually votes,90 % of 7.2 being 6.4 percentage,
and if ninety percentage of that population votes for the congress,90 % of 6.4 being 5.76 percentage of the population,
how will an election be won with 5.76 percentage of the votes solidly in your kitty?
is there an assumption that the rest of the population is stupid and will not mind any appeasement that is being done to gain the votes of this 5.76 % of the people.
in rajasthan,beginning with the muslim population to be at 9 %,we arrive at 6.5 % of the votes cast by the muslims en bloc to the congress.

hate mongering and grandstanding

the army has been battling terrorism in kashmir for about two decades and after the long years of sacrifice and having won over the people of the valley,the nation was put through the ordeal of the bjp and gen sinha playing petty politics and stirring up emotions.

everything was almost wasted by the actions of the bharatiya janata party during the amarnath yatra agitation and the forces of destabilisation smelled a chance in their moment of defeat.
what we have seen on our televisions in the last two days has been going on in kashmir for two decades and at the very end of the long campaign,the bjp went in and played politics.
the people should realise during this event when the war was brought live to them that we have prevailed in kashmir after twenty years of this kind of violence.
and yet there is one anti national organisation which still goes about motivating the people into hatred on lines of religion.
and they fault the government as soft on terror.
the bjp has to change its ways drastically and immediately.

vote bank

all the people,media and others,who constantly talk about votebank politics should be asked to stop earning and quit their jobs as that is familybank politics,
they should be asked to check whether their families stick with them even without providing for their requirements.
they can consider taking some oaths like
"i wont do anything as it will be construed as bribing my family to stay with me".
"i wont help one struggling son as it can be portrayed as bribing him to develop himself,which he should be doing on his own".

muslim votebank

The hindus,even if they make up only 75 % of the population form an overwhelming majority.The congress party can also be said to have 75 % of its members as hindus.The muslim population,if assumed to be 18 %,is nowhere near a majority.
The bharatiya jhootiya party has been trying to fool the people that the congress is anti hindu or pro muslim in order to reap the 18 % of the muslim votes.This is based on the premise that the 75 % hindus do not vote uniformly.
That can lead to the inference that there is no religion called hinduism in the first place.
If the members of a religion are not able to detect any danger to their religion across the numbers,one of two things are possible.
Either there are divisions among the hindus or there is no danger to the religion.If there are divisions among the hindus,should that cause an inferiority complex while looking at more unified religions?
If the members of a religion are thinking and voting en bloc,it can mean two things.The religion is cohesive and lateral or the members of the religion feel the need to stay united in a hostile environment.
Islam has been in India for a thousand years,that is long enough for its adherents to be an inalienable part of the population.The riot victims in gujarat have received compensation,which can never bring back the dead to life,but justice prevails.
They can be said to be living through a tough time,where other religions target them to overcome their own shortcomings.
The islamic community in India will eventually come out of this tough time with a better outlook.

The bharatiya jhoot party,instead of trying to get the hindus to think and act unitedly,is getting them to think and act unreasonably.It has been trying to get them to forget their reasonable and practical nature,and their simple and pure religion,which is related to their way of life.
The religion of the people is a pure religion which thanks nature in all its manifestations for the gifts of the soil and its yield.The people have evolved customs and traditions over millennia,means and methods to ensure dialogue and redress conflict.Newer technologies and religions were always welcomed enthusiastically.
The attempts of a later priestly class to develop a uniformity over these millennia old ways of life began by grafting myths over the simple and pure religion of the people.These attempts of the priestly class ended up creating divisions among the people.As with the attempts of any group to tamper with the millennia old modes of life,the attempts of the priestly class were defeated.
The priestly class has now gotten onto the ram bandwagon to get the people to accept its inventions.It has even turned sivan into a personality in its latest and most desperate attempts.

The Youth and their mistaken beliefs

Some of the young minds inhabiting the internet have fallen hook,line and sinker for the propaganda of the bjp.
These young minds might be suffering from a malaise which might be called noninformation disorder or fantasticfantasy disorder.
These young minds have been led to believe that the congress party is soft on terrorism as it does not want to antagonize its muslim votebank.
It is a totally laughable premise which seems to take for granted that certain sections of the populace will never vote come what may.
It is obvious that the muslims are concentrated in a few states and in other states in a few constituencies.
How can a party which is the oldest party and has membership from every strata of society
and every corner of the country be taken to be concerned with just one segment of the population.
There is an universal franchise in the country and any citizen can utilise it without any fear in any part of the country.
These sections probably believe that some percentage of the hindus are dumb to the extent that they will never turn up to vote.
If that is a foregone conclusion,then the premise that the congress is soft on terrorism on account of its vote bank is true.
The population of india is made up of 80 % hindus with the muslims making up 15 %.
The supporters of the bjp,in their various antics to whip up support of the party.at various times,
need to portray the hindu population as dumb and cowardly.
It is certainly not a healthy state of affairs.

Vote bank politics

The supporters of the bharatiya janata party always talk about the vote bank politics.

It is a general concept talked about with great passion and conviction and zeal.

One wonders whether those talking about this can tell about the particular general election or assembly election where this was first implemented and also how this was done.

The KHAM formula was devised in gujarat where the muslims were one of the components among kshatriyas,harijans and adivasis.

The elections of 1951,1957 and 1962 were in the Nehru years.

1967 was in the aftermath of tumultuous events in the form of the 1965 war and the death of lal bahadur Shastri.

1971 was after the leadership struggle in the congress and the bangladesh war.

The concept of a vote bank takes it granted that certain sections would not vote.

The percentage population of the muslims varies from about 10 % in Andhra pradesh,Karnataka and Maharashtra to 15-17 % in the states of Bihar and Uttar pradesh.

Kerala and West bengal have about 20 % population of muslims.

The numbers are below 5 % in Madhya pradesh and Tamilnadu and negligible in Orissa,Himachal pradesh,Haryana and Punjab.

If 60 % of these populations were taken to be in the voting age,and if every single one of them were taken to vote for a single party,10 % of the votes cast will accrue to that party in uttar pradesh and bihar,12 % will accrue to the single party in kerala and west bengal,6 % would accrue to the single party in Karnataka,Andhra pradesh and Maharashtra.

That would leave more than 50-60 % of the remaining voting populations out of the picture of the so called vote bank politics.

It is obvious that the candidate will be from the majority caste or group in most of the constituencies.

Our country has gone through various crises through the years in election years.

Would certain communities have been known to not vote in a particular election.

What were the supposed inducements offered to the muslims to ensure that they voted as a bloc.

The rath yatra began the mobilisation of the muslims to vote together.

The vocal and confident supporters of the bharatiya janata party offer the shah bano case and recently,the sachar committee as inducements to the muslims.

A common man will realise the need for the muslims to be helped into the mainstream and that is being done by the implementation of the sachar committee recommendations.

As in the case of the ram sethu where the bharatiya janata party ministers approved the project from the various alignments and are now bringing in the name of rama,the supporters of this party seem to be willing to be fooled easily.

The vote bank politics has said to have stalled the development of the nation.

It is one of the many misinformations perpetrated by the bjp.
