the legal system in our country seems to encourage locking people up while they are being investigated. I don't think this is the model being followed in the rest of the world where a person who is being investigated is put in custody. If there is a crime and if there is prosecutable evidence, that is when the law pronounces guilt. Our CBI seems to be in a situation where it is sure of the guilt, and has then been looking out for evidence to back its conjecture. In this search, the CBI  is happy to have the people under investigation to stay in jail. This is an amazing turn of events. We have heard of undertrials languishing in prison for many years, but what we have here is under-investigations, people who are being investigated, who are then locked up. Then, a chargesheet is filed, and the judge tells he is satisfied that there is enough incriminating evidence. If the judge is satisfied, then the under-investigations must be allowed to resume their lives while the trial goes on. but, that is also not the case in our country, where we have the undertrials. After the case is heard, and if guilt is not established, then the person is left out.

Will a worthy like Anna Hazare take up an issue such as this, where the common people are incarcerated. No, worthies like Anna Hazare do not take up the real issues. they are left for kannabirans, setalvads etc. Worthies like Anna Hazare take up issues where the publicity is good.

In the 2g investigation, we have a chargesheet filed yesterday where Kanimozhi's name has been added. If there is material that raises doubts, the investigation must proceed. But to want to have the concerned people under arrest, reveals that the CBI  is highly inefficient and unsure. In the case of Kalaignar TV, the charges are far-fetched to such an extent, that it is a revelation of the state of inefficiency of an agency like the CBI. This agency draws linkages and makes some connects, and then tells it files the cargesheet. While Kanimozhi will come clean, it is the agency that comes out looking sorry.

In this interim, who really makes easy money is the unscrupulous media, which enjoys feeding loaded questions, innuendoes, and some straws picked up from the wind. This media will one day realise that the fanning of mob and herd mentality will some day be used for targeting the media itself, the unscrupulous sections of it.

What is the illegality.....if some company has more than the allowed cross-holding.....and if some company did not have the article of business as telecom in its registration certificate....this is the illegality that made a sivaji/robot/baasha of the supreme court...what about a clarification by reliance communications that it did not have more than the prescribed holding in another company...that can rest for now...while the court and the media have some good-natured fun...that will be looked up when that comes up....right now let us sell, feels the media...let us revel, feels the supreme court...what does a preferred share mean...we ll check that out later.....

Venugopal, appearing for the CBI, placed a transcript of telephonic conversation of corporate lobbyist Niira Radia with top corporate honchos and politicians and said, "These telephonic records will be used as evidence in criminal prosecution of the accused in the scam."

An investigator tells that one minister did not pay heed to concerns raised by the Prime Minister. Then, this investigator and the judge proceed to talk among themselves and nod their concurrence of the contents of a report prepared by another overseeing authority. This illustrates the sheer depth of tragi-comedy that can grip a nation when a scum-duo is allowed to make all manner of loose talk. This loose talk by the scum-duo of prashanth bhushan and subramanian swamy is given a lot of encouragement by the Supreme Court, which is seized of the matter. Why is the Court seized of the matter? Because, it was egged on by reporting in the media. The media is characterless, purposeless, and brainless in our country. Consequently, the very simple issue of revealing to the people that the CAG  is a plain fool or that it consists of plain fools, is not told to the people. Instead, the media join together in a naked dance of sick sensationalism. Watching this, the Supreme Court gets dizzy with the glee of getting to stray into forbidden territory. It gets all worked up with the thrill of occupying the throne. It gets even more delirious when it starts getting the beat of an audience/ a people who are thoroughly stupid. This target audience of educated upper classes is totally in awe and cravenly behoven to the Supreme Court. For this class, the Supreme Court is the modern-day veda, where everything is written for the impaired followers. This craven and unmeritorius human crowd now has the Supreme Court giving it its daily fix, which the media dutifully reports at 9 pm on tv, and in the daily newspapers. This holy and devout crowd are happy with this supreme achievement of humanity as they view it. A supreme authority that dishes out justice, that delivers justice to the interloper politician. The Supreme Court is also now headbanging with all vigour and participation in this naked dance of sensationalism.
