this is the role of the missionaries of hinduism. along with spreading hinduism, they also engage in politics. such is the greatness of this religion that it needs to get a party defeated for this religion to flourish.

they openly back one political party, the BJP ,in this article. this is the religion of the twenty-first century. here, the missionaries need the rulers to back their religious endeavor. so, they resort to any means at their disposal to get the government to be in their favour. the government must be receptive to their endeavors. this is religion which will lead to god.

in the past, there used to be some such missionaries, who succeeded in their endeavors, to get the rulers to be favorable to them. we have the results in front of our eyes, where we were almost entirely drowned in this alien aryan nonsense, until leaders emerged on the scene who managed to rescue us.

what we have to ponder is why did creation throw up such a being as the hindutva supporter. why did nature create such a wasted being, that has a necessity to machinate and obfuscate all the time. why did nature create such a being, that does not know about decency and wisdom and honour and common sense. what could nature's motives have been in creating such a wasted type of being.

enlightenment

in the old days,a person might go through life with all its experiences or might withdraw from society and would gain the wisdom that could be enlightenment.he would then give his advice and help those who seek him out for guidance.
in todays world,there are either the ones who sell their advice after having reached the point of enlightenment or the ones who pick up a gun and try to get everyone to share their enlightenment by forcing them toward the right route.there are those who are willing to buy the received wisdom as there are those who believe that others can think for them on their behalf.the jihadis who believe that the rest have to be herded into what they only have grasped are the stand outs.they want to force everyone into their level of enlightenment.maybe,they are having doubts about their own enlightenment and want the brute numbers to augment their enlightenment.the indian varieties who sell wisdom are even more arrogant when one looks at it closely.they claim to possess something for everyone and are steering everyone towards their vision.
of course,there are the real people doing the real work of providing people with an anchor and are a guiding light.
there are various levels of disonesty out there in the world being practiced by the ones who use religion for the easiest vocation,sorting out the problems of people.

they have been at it again,this time in somalia.
the motto seems to be,lets fight all over the world for all time to come,we will be fighting forever till the end of time,we will see who remains standing.
these guys have become addicted to violence.the addiction must also have happened because of an inability to understand what others are doing everywhere else.these others are doing things in business,science,etc.they are constantly doing something.the al qaeda affiliates do not know what to make of all this,whether to begin to join the rest or to just remain doing what we were doing.not being able to go either way,they have decided to instead fight the others.fight and achieve what,not exactly sure.if the others will fight back,as they only will,what is the objective.
if it is israel that is the problem,they can ask for an immediate return to pre 1967 and can help the palestinians to regain all they have lost.they can get together,if that is possible,and stop selling oil to the world.they can demand a return to pre 1967 immediately.
the american need to be everywhere is the primary reason for all of the al qaeda and other problems.
they want to be everywhere doing everything and then they want to call it "our way of life".
they want the oil of the middle east,the markets of india,the money of china,all for "our way of life".
if they can do something within their own country and then call it "our way of life",they will be congratulated.

to prevent such a stagnation and fragmentation,god sent his message through the prophet mohammed.but,now,his followers are involved in using that message to underpin their fight against another group;this group is not seeking to take its message, that it also received from god, to the rest of the world but is severely deranged in the quest for wealth.

its religion should be helping it in resolving its earthly matters and disputes not be the reason for the fight.
they have to spell out what exactly they are striving for.
if they want to turn saudi arabia into a different type of country,one which becomes the supreme centre of the islamic world,they also have to spell out whether they will continue to sell oil to the rest of the world or they will stop selling it and revert to the ways of the desert as it was earlier.
the americans have to spell out who they are to overturn everything everywhere.do they assume themselves to be more talented than any one anytime in history.if they possess that kind of talent,then they can easily use that talent to talk to people everywhere and get them to learn from them with bated breath.

there is a dispute over a piece of land and a structure on it between two parties.
one of the parties mobilises a big mob with the help of his friends and attacks the structure and demolishes it.
if there is a law which is governing the land,the people who mobilised the mob will be punished.
there will not be a change in the status because the structure was demolished.
the matter will continue to be heard in the court.
the court will pronounce judgement.

how will the affected party feel,will he just shrug his shoulders and grin?
if the party which resorted to violence felt that it owned the land centuries back,it had to prove its case.failing to do so would have meant conceding defeat in the case.
if there had been a forceful and illegal acquisition in the past,it has to be proved.
if it cannot be proved,there has to respect for the law of the land.
if there are responsible people who are arguing for the case,they will explore all options available and seek to win in the court of law.
if one party implements violence and does not repect the rule of law,the other party will only feel aggrieved.
considering that islam was a religion that was new and had come into the Indian subcontinent,there would surely have been clashes between the new and the old.the new would have felt justified in being morally right in implementing their religion.
the old would have resisted.
the battle of wills was conducted over centuries and the old continued to hold sway.the new also slowly settled into the land having found its own space.
the muslims were rulers for some time ,ruling over mostly hindu subjects.
then,the rulers changed and times changed.things moved on.
there was no 1000 year war between the two,no intractable conflict,no fundamental inability to live with one another.

now,after many centuries,after times have changed,trying to rake up all of that is not doing justice to those people of those time,who confronted each other with different ideologies and then withdrew to exist,each as he wills.

all religions are said to possess universal truths.
the problem is that people cannot consider the basic point that if god has given them a message,he has also given messages to other peoples living in other areas of the world.
these humans then keep trying to take the message that they have received to other peoples whom god has spoken to through other prophets or happenings.
if the jews were told by god that they were a chosen people,it was done to lift their flagging spirits as they were surrounded by great empires.
if christ came and tried to reform the jewish religion,it was done because it had become to get corrupted.
if islam was conveyed to the people of the middle east through the prophet mohammed,it was because the people there needed guidance,when others in the neighbourhood had already received some communication from god.

buddhism and sikhism were formed to lead the people out of the thrall of such myths and religions.
the vedic religion might have been good for its core practitioners but it has been of no use for the vast population.
the ancient and continuous civilisation necessitated the evolution of laws which governed the people and resolved their problems.the people were simple enough to have used these laws to go about their lives and did not need any special divine sanctions or commandments to give weightage to them.the entire world was drawn to this ancient land and its uncomplicated ways.

the vedic culture happened to come here quite early and was the first entrant from outside.over three millennia,it has acquired a hold over the people that is not healthy.the people did not need any systematic religion,they just needed to go about their life and whatever was interesting was accepted.the people have never needed to acquire any religion and pontiff whose say was absolute and also who was indispensably linked to and controlling the rulers.
right from the vedic religions to the later entrants,there have been attempts to change the simple ways of the people into all of these systematic religions.
in north india,where the hold and effect of the vedic religion was severe,buddhism and sikhism attempted to break such shackles.
in south india,rationalism was attempted to be taken to the people as athe fastest and most effective way to break the vedic religion and its destruction of the culture.
the vedic religion is at odds with islam and christianity as it views these organised religions as a threat to its entrenchment.
the people have their own ways which is separate from any of these religions.
the people are organised in different regions in different ways.
saivism can be said to be the mainstay and the basis and the core of the thinking of the people.
vaishnavism is more urban and is deriving from the vedic religion.rama and krishna have become the tools to appeal to the common man to enroll into the vedic religion.
the vedic religion has become synonymous with the caste system and other ills in the so called hinduism.
without removing these basic flaws,indirect shortcuts have been used,rama hanuman etc,to get to gloss over the fundamental discrepancies in this religion.
getting agitated over the islamic clerics is useless.it should be used as a challenge to remove the failings and flaws and broadbase the vedic religion.pretending to be the majority and trying to make an entry into politics on the basis of hate propaganda will be the best ways to fool themselves.

There have been various instances where groups have rallied around their identities to assert or to protect it.
A logical corollary would be the idea to create an exclusive territory or homeland.
Some organisations use fiery speeches to rally their people to this exclucivist ideology.
It is a natural desire among people to desire an ideal situation of purity for their language,culture,tradition or religion especially when faced with a prospect of a ceding of their space to others.
When there is an impression that other cultures etc are involved in planned attempts to retain their separateness and promote it,the automatic development is for all other identities to start organising themselves.
It is a small distance for this thinking to reach a situation where militant references from history are used to further the cause.
These are complex issues which have to be dealt with patience and wisdom.
The SIMI might have organised meetings where speeches calling for an islamic revolution would have been made.A public meeting needs fiery speeches to get applause and a rallying of the numbers.
The SIMI would have hardened their campaign in the aftermath of the babri mosque demolition.
The intelligence apparatus would have been in the know of these speeches which must have necessitated a show cause notice to the concerned organisations.
These kinds of incendiary campaigns would have been witnessed all around the spectrum.
Instead of adopting a dialogue with the concerned organisation,the SIMI was banned by lk advani,who is himself from an organisation dealing in such language.More importantly,the RSS had been involved in direct action to further its campaign.

The Congress could never have overturned the ban as it would have been portrayed as pandering to the minority.

Faced with this lose-lose situation,the minorities have to adopt different strategies which will result in a win-win situation in the long run.
The RSS and its allied organisations have only themselves to blame for not allowing the establishment to reach out to them by their violent and criminal acts right from the assasination of gandhiji.
They are now engaged in getting the hindus to feel inferior and insecure to rally them,these acts are going to be highly detrimental and damaging to the so called hinduism in the long run.
Already,they have sucessfully reignited the aryan dravidian divide by raising the ram sethu issue.
The RSS and related organisations are all that are needed for the so called hinduism to lose its cohesion.
A few upper castes and other misled parts of the so called hinduism are enacting their last great folly to retain a past prime position in the hierarchy.
There is no attempt to admit to the mistakes of the past and a genuine debate about the central tenets of the so called hinduism.
It is all about social engineering and re engineering through religious persuasion.

The people in power should be totally neutral in their dealings with the population.

If the rulers are disposed towards a section or sections,reactions are created.

The reactions can erupt immediately or over a long time.

The tilt towards some section and any concomitant negative treatment towards other sections could be due to a desire to redress some perceived or real imbalance.

The VHP can be assumed to consist of three section of hindus,
one wanting to strengthen hinduism as a result of a deep conviction that it is
the best way for humanity,after having undertaken a thorough study.
one which is not at ease with the spread of islam and christianity,as it is
unable to view the upliftment and the assertions of previously stymied classes
with an open mind.
and another which harbours hatred for islam and christianity,either as a result
of clashing of economic interests or due to a feeling of animosity arising from
history.

if the first section actually exists within the VHP,it would have its hands full
in reaching out to the vast population that has been classified as hindu.It would have been at the scene of crimes against the dalits in maharashtra and haryana in the recent past and in Tamilnadu where episodes of dispute between castes have occurred;it was the communist parties who intervened in tamilnadu.
The second section could consist of people who want a preservation of the status
quo in the social order .This section would have been uncomfortable with the
dynamics of the social upliftment of the stymied classes.
The youth who are to be spotted online denigrating islam and advocating hatred
could belong to the second or the third sections.
The BJP is a party which is related to the groups such as the VHP and the bajrang
dal.
The BJP,when it was in power banned the SIMI,the ideological equivalent of the
VHP and the Bajrang dal.An imbalance is created when the proponents of one religion have a link with the government,which bans a group which advocates a minority religion.
One of the roots of the present climate in the country could be traced to the
banning of the SIMI by the BJP.
Salman Khurshid said on TIMES NOW that it was the record of the Gujarat police in
fake encounters which raises doubts in the minds of the muslims.
The SIMI might consist of some people who would like to turn India into an
islamic country.Similarly,the bajrang dal and the VHP might consist of a section
which would want India to be declared a hindu country.
When the government is seen as being related to either of these groups,a chain of
reactions occur which have culminated in the events of our country in the recent
months.
The Home minister who banned the SIMI was a person who led mobs to demolish a
mosque.The followers of the bjp should place themselves in the shoes of the minority and
introspect about the ramifications of the actions of advani and others.

the mob is made up of criminals who have broken the laws.

the next day,bigger mobs assemble at different places away from the scene of the original crime and kill innocents who have no connection with the first attack.

the same events are being repeated in orissa today.

one group attacks and kills in one event at one location.

in the name of reprisal,people totally unconnected with the original incident are attacked and killed somewhere else.

a feeling of insecurity is what is behind these attacks,which does not allow the groups involved to look at the original events as the crimes they are.

everybody has the right to propagate their religion,if there exists a doubt that illegal means are beiing used,the proper way forward is to file a complaint with the police who will investigate and book the offenders.

if the area of contention is out of the reach of law,violent clashes can be expected.

why do innocents have to be targeted who are doing the propagation within the law.

a big issue is made up that conversions are taking place.

there is nobody who is stopping the hindutva groups from doing their own propagation.

Religions for Rallying

A religion is a method which helps man to live a civilised life.Some religions have been evolved by man himself through the years while others have been established and formulated by a single persons thinking.
Christianity and Islam are believed to have been set forth by a son and a
messenger of god respectively.Christianity emerged in an urban and a highly militaristic society which would have been in need of a counter to the authoritarianism of the government.
Islam was founded in a nomadic environment and possibly provides a rigid code
covering various aspects of life whereas christianity bases itself on the
kindness of jesus christ.
People are free to follow whichever method.
A muslim can possibly follow christianity if he is living in a predominantly christian society and vice versa.
In the middle ages,various rulers favoured one or the other religion which
resulted in religion becoming one of the motivations for war.
In the present day also,religion is a camouflage for starting wars.
The communist rulers in the seventies in afghanistan would not have cracked down
on the religion followed by the people.The british while ruling over much of the world could not have made it a policy to obliterate religions other than christianity.

The problem began in iran when the shah was influenced by western culture which
led to the islamic revolution.Religion also became a rallying point in the fight for economic freedom.
Israel is at the centre of all of the islamic upheaval in the middle east.

If people all over the world are convinced about the divine connection of their
respective religions,could it not be possible for them to accept that god would
have sent different messengers to different areas of the world at different
times.
Those people who are not convinced about the divine connection of their religions
could be the ones who feel the need to propagate their religion aggressively.Why do some people have to promote and proselytize their method to others?
Why do others invoke their method to justify their wars and fights which are actually fought for domination and freedom?

America needed to fight in vietnam and afghanistan to check the soviet buildup,it should have avoided portraying its fight as against a godless communism.

The LTTE is one organisation which has not mixed its religion in its fight,not
portraying the lankans as infidels or anything of that sort.

people all over the world do not seem to be getting all the answers from their
particular religions and these doubts seem to be leading them into a violent
confrontation with the followers of other religions.There is possibly a fear that their particular religion will not be able to withstand the influence of other religions.
If religion is taken out of the equation,conflict resolution will become easy.

The Israelis can be seen as a ruthless group of encroachers .
The dispute between India and Pakistan is over territory and not over religion.

The present crisis in the gulf was conveniently portrayed as a clash of civilisations while WWII with 55 million deaths was not seen to be about religion even though buddhism and communism were involved.
