they despise democracy

the democratic journey is described as destructive by the forces of inhumanity and the custodians of unimaginable degradation. these custodians of unimaginable degradation are going on amongst our midst, thinking that they possess something special. The arrogance that such a thought creates makes them belittle the democratic process and the human striving.

http://www.tamilhindu.com/2011/04/the_disgusting_election_propaganda/

the article tells about actor vadivel, " if only he had known to talk in a civilised manner" thus imputing that vadivel does not know to talk in a civilised way, or maybe he himself is not civilised.

this article tells about some actors who campaigned in the past elections, and that they disappeared or were contrite after the elections.

in the very next para, the article tells vijayakanth is now a leader in politics and a prominent figure. these type of crass writing is the output of a fanatic mind that is crazed with the thought of supremacy of its religion. the very existence of human kind is put to shame by such minds and their propaganda.

the article then tells the people are hesitant to read the newspapers because there is so much abusive language.

The diseased mind reveals it self further.the article then asks where this destruction is headed to.

Finally, the article talks about the world coming to an end and then closes with a photo of the bharatiya janata party.

the site calls itself tamilhindu.

while we can watch with anxiety this dismantling of the human mind, this dissolution into the flame of fanaticism, this destruction of the human potential, we should ask ourselves the question as to how did we allow this disease to spread so much that it actually believes itself. this work of a minority among a minority sect is now the most amazing phenomenon in the world. A set of people that came in to survive in a flourishing land have morphed centuries and millennia later, a section of this set, into people that despise, curse, and pour scorn, on their hosts, vilify the land that sustained them. All because, they were not able to settle down and adopt the culture of their adopted home, but instead, they tried to act smart and become instructors to the inhabitants. Such an inhuman greed is revealing them after centuries as the ones that probably do not deserve the sympathy of the people. Can we even now continue to condone this disease.

virendra kapoor

here comes the newest moron, who has the least idea about politics.

how many of such will sprout, only to realise that life is too complex for their level of maturity.

why do such daydreamers not attempt to do something else, other than trying to throw stones at the sky, calling it blemished, as it gives rain, thunder and lightning.

the gulf is huge, between those manning the highest positions and such smallness, which wants to think that it is wise.

why do they get airtime,is it because there are many more of them, who are useless for the country. all the useless morons get airtime. hopefully, they will realise soon that do not have to publicize their ordinariness.

sushil ku t

what does this column try to say, only the columnist knows the meaning.is he trying to suggest that a poet can never be a part of a criminal conspiracy.who is this guy that he is able to dispute with the findings of a justice of a court of law.what is this newspaper trying to do,give a counter to the establishment and establish some kind of refuge for those among the public who are removed from democracy and would feel like ranting against the establishment.those feelings are used by these kinds of columns in giving the appearance that there is some reality to such feelings.these feelings are raked up and nourished by such columns which grasp some points which are neither here nor there and can be safely used to suggest something.the people who have some imagined grievances are prodded forward by such writings which also help in finding some buyers for the newspaper.
what is the service that such columns provide, giving an outlet to some disillusioned lot.
can a rational person sincerely believe that atal behari vajpayee is the great statesman that he is made out to be.he had a decent veneer which if it was also the reality would have found ways to develop a honest politics which would provide honest opposition.
http://www.expressbuzz.com/edition/story.aspx?Title=Liberhan+and+the+posture+of+loftiness&artid=IHID3m4drOc=&SectionID=XVSZ2Fy6Gzo=&MainSectionID=XVSZ2Fy6Gzo=&SectionName=m3GntEw72ik=
this article itself is an argument for whatever the justice had written with regard to the media.
does atal behari vajpayee have some side of the story and does it really need some defender?if atal behari vajpayee was in a party which systematically roused lakhs of people into believing that they had to rectify some shame which was blighting them, confusing and confounding their thoughts and realities, reducing them to go against the due process of law and create incidents that blemish the established constitution, then,it is vajpayee who has to explain his presence in such a party.why does some newspaper columnist try to give it a spin in one direction, making it out as if it is just not on,just does not have a hint of a necessity and absolutely imputing that this is all something which has damaged a simple, honest struggling poet.
that is what i thought the column was suggesting.
the cool rubbishing of the suave urbanite which brings some smiles and hope to some hard core vajpayee supporter.
is this the work of the media,to mollify some rabid supporter of some party and try to get him to get over the hurt and the damage of his leader being found accused in a conspiracy to break the law.
the f word that he mentions is what is coming to mind when one thinks about what the that this guy is doing.
i have to try to read his earlier columns now.
the justice was asked by the hindu for his reasons which the justice has spelt out.

rajeev srinivasan

i do not know what this guys contribution has been in the media or anywhere else.
this is the second article of his that i m coming across on rediff.com.
he belongs to the type which views history in terms of hindu and muslim and which feels that it has the burden of rectifying the strategic blunders of the hindus of the past.
on the other side, the muslim equivalent of this type is one who wants to replicate the strategic brilliance of the muslims of the past.
a charitable judgement would be to term this a simplistic view.
the khyber pass winds through a mountain range and its length is 50 kms.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khyber_Pass
the indus valley settlements extended upto iran.
the mauryan empire extended well into afghanistan.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauryan
trade was well established from pre mauryan times and between the countries of the mesopotamian civilisations and the indus valley civilisations.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Trunk_Road
the people knew the languages and the cultures of each other.
there was no ocean between them which prevented them from mingling.
taxila was at the intersection of major trade routes.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxila

the people living in present day India had no tradition of travelling only upto the khyber pass and not risking looking across, never risking going across,as there were barbarians living over there.
that can be the inference from such articles.
kingdoms and rulers have always been at war with each other and have always been trading with each other over millennia.

these are the types of people who have somehow twisted everything to fit into their present malaise of a fear of their religion being at risk.
in the process, they lose grip of the basic reality that religion is all about reaching god,who has created everything that they see and sense.

Reckless and lost

Why do a majority of educated people in their twenties and thirties feel it necessary to express frustration at our country's present condition.A considerable part of this segment are software engineers. They have studied in engineering colleges which abound in india,in the south,so much that in the last few years enormous numbers of seats have been vacant in tamilnadu.Getting A technical degree has become a commonplace thing and the job market abounds with opportunities.People are spending more than ever before and lifestyles have begun to resemble the west.
The political scene also reflects stability. We have a prime minister and a finance minister who are extremely accomplished and capable of looking at the longer perspective.Manufacturing Industries have begun to thrive with a semiconductor foundry coming up in Hyderabad. The government has begun to address the crisis in the Agriculture sector and in rural india. In such a situation of positives abounding ,why would this person write an article like this?
There are comments of like minded people calling this article a masterpiece.A generation seems to have lost itselves inspite of success.
