IRAQ CONFERENCE

there is some movement at last towards resolving iraq.a major conference has begun in the egyptian resort of sharm al sheikh.60 countries are participating.the americans have met the syrians on the sidelines and are also expected to meet the iranians.the news in the last 3 days about alqaeda men being killed looks like an attempt to boost the american standing.
in France, the runup to the second round continues with segolene royal catching up with nicholas sarkozy.it looked like sarkozy would breeze through but the fight is getting tighter.i thought sarkozy was the better candidate but after seeing the clippings of their debate on tv,i feel segolene royal l be a whiff of fresh air.

I think you should start a News Page. Or may Chronicles of Iraq. Did you read about the stoning to death of a Kurdish girl for falling in love with a Sunni Muslim guy in Baghdad (pathetic!)? Are you still counting?

Stoning to death is a horrible and by now famous. It was in the papers. Live filming was on Net I suppose. But it got removed. I wouldn't have the guts to see it, tho'! I shudder at the thought of it! Since you were counting the deaths there, I thought u'd know
