Belgians in the Congo

The Democratic Republic of Congo is once again facing fighting and the resultant refugee problem,this time in the east.
The belgians shouldered the white mans burden in zaire ,the native culture has been annihilated
and preserved extensively and excellently in a museum in brussels about which there was a report on BBC.
The people have been ravaged by dictatorships and warlords.A wonderful continent has been labelled as the dark continent and now mining interests are scouring the museum because of its treasure of geological samples and maps.
A classic song by Billy Joel which won a grammy has the lines 'belgians in the Congo'.
